Beginners French Course Level 1 Our Spring term kicks off with the return of Beginners French course with Olivier Jarré from St Leonards Sur Mer. Join this class and learn all you need to know to be able to communicate in French Whether you plan to visit France, want to interact with French speakers, read French Literature or watch French films, this class is for you! If you are an absolute beginner, or need to refresh your school French, this beginners class will teach you the language as it is spoken in France. The class is led by Olivier, a native French speaker, professional translator with tutoring, school and University teaching experience During the first term we are going to learn and explore: Week 1: Greetings, first social contacts in France. Introducing yourself, calling people. The alphabet and the pronunciation. Week 2: Finding out what things are called. The gender of nouns. Ask where people are from, languages, nationalities and countries. Week 3: Talk about yourself. The number. The verbs avoir and être. Week 4: Talking about families and friends. Possessive adjectives and their logic in French Week 5: Talking about your home. The different types of housing. Searching for things in the house. Week 6: Food and what you like eating. Express preferences. Table talks at home, as a guest and in a restaurant. Voilà! This is a rough line, we will keep the group small enough and adapt the pace to make sure everybody is progressing and has support. We will be in touch before the start of the course with the name of the book we recommend you buy before we start. So be assured that you will be able to read, write and pronounce every word you will have learnt. À bientôt alors! Cancellation Policy
Please note our classes are mostly aimed for adults. Please get in touch to ask if you are unsure. Our classes are non refundable. Due our small class sizes it is very difficult to transfer your booking to a different date. If you cannot attend a class and are able to notify us at least two weeks before the class starts, it may be possible to fit you in on another date but this is not guaranteed so please give us as much notice as possible to increase your chances. T&Cs Terms & Conditions • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events on our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY • Places are booked on a first-come-first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking in order to reserve your place. • Bookings and payments will be confirmed by email. • The materials and tools needed for each class varies, so please refer to the course description but don’t hesitate to contact us with any queries. • If you are unable to attend a class, workshop or event you may send someone else in your place. You must let us know the name of the attendee prior to the class, workshop or event taking place. • Confirmed & paid bookings are not eligible for payment refunds. • You can transfer to another class, workshop or event or receive a credit note if you notify us at least 14 days before the date of the class, workshop or event you are booked on to attend. • In exceptional circumstances, where we may have to cancel one of our advertised classes, workshops or events, you will be offered a full refund. • If a class, workshop or event is cancelled our liability is solely for the cost of the booking fee, not for any other costs you may have incurred such as materials you may have purchased in advance, travel costs or accommodation. • Attendees at our classes, workshops and events are not permitted to use any of our instruction sheets, photography or designs for their own classes or other commercial concerns.
